ControlLogix System

has a highly functional industrial processor that provides an easy-to-use, modular, and flexible solution across a wide range of applications. This powerful controller takes a   distributed approach to control that unburdens it from the overhead associated with communication and I/O tasks.

When you have a large Systems Application,
we highly recommend the ControlLogix System

Easy-to-Use Symbolic Addressing
Names fit function. IEC 1131-3 compliant addressing allows you to name your data based on its use in an application.
Symbols integrated with code. The symbol names you create are loaded into the controller's memory.
Self-documenting system. The 40 character symbol name
Instruction set. Instruction set maintains the common look-and-feel of existing Allen-Bradley products. Software independence. Programming environment is highly independent of system's hardware.

Modularity
Operating system. The IEC-1131 compliant operating system provides a true preemptive multi-tasking environment.
Memory.
Modular memory allows tailoring of the processor to match your specific needs.
Multi-processing.

Flexibility
The application development environment allows you to segment your code into isolated programs with their own local data space. An RS-232 port on the front of the ControlLogix controller both acts as a local programming port and also provides full backplane communications bridging.
