The Greater Design

It's PC-Based    You can run it on a standard PC or on CTC's entire family of PowerStation workstations. MachineLogic harnesses all the ease-of-use features of Windows an the dependability of DOS on the factory floor. Open architecture offers connectivity to bus networks with Profibus and DeviceNet.

It's Powerful    With multi-tasking open architecture, machines produce more product and allows you to add more functions to the machine. With up to 16K of physical IO and logic scan times down to 1 millisecond.

MachineLogic™
PC-based Logic Controller (PCLC

It's Deterministic   A better alternative than NT-based control systems because it runs on a real-time operating system that is completely deterministic. Hardware interrupt, ensures control tasks are always given priority. Your system resource load will not adversely affect task times.

It's Reliable    High speed retentive memory allows you to store critical data to a nonvolatile environment. The hardware watchdog allows you to stop the machine in an orderly fashion. Power failure detection helps you to bring a machine to a safe shutdown.
It's Easy to Support    The MachineLogic PCLC is also plant floor ready. You can edit your control program online using MachineLogic.
It's Operator-Friendly    MachineLogic is integrated with Interact, CTC's #1 rated HMI software. This integration provides a highly functional front end with a run-time operating system that is isolated from the operator.
It's IEC-61131-3 Compliant    IEC-61131-3 is the emerging global standard for PLC programming and MachineLogic supports all 5 languages including: Instruction List - Function Block - Sequential Function Chart - Structured Text - Ladder Diagram
It's Cost-Competitive   MachineLogic is cost competitive with PLCs because it doesn't have all of the expensive hardware requirements like NT systems. And because you can save time on integration and support and wiring and more.
